Green Building Day Seed Planting

On Thursday 7 June, you’re invited to join us as we roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty as part of Green Building Day 2018.

As delegates to this year’s Green Building Day Conference converge at Brookfield Place to discuss how to ‘Shape the Future State’ and explore the steps the industry needs to take to become carbon positive, we’ve partnered with Landcare Australia and are welcoming volunteers to the Main Square at Brookfield Place to help propagate 3000 seedlings. It’s the first chapter of an incredible conservation story that all tenants and visitors to Brookfield Place are encouraged to get involved in.

Here’s how it works:

• Register your interest in this program by clicking here to send an email

• Visit the marquee located in the Main Square at Brookfield Place on 7 June from 11am to help with the seedling propagation

• Learn from experts onsite about the Swan Estuary Reserves Action Group and the work they do conserving our Swan River

• The seedlings will then be nourished and nurtured off-sight by the team from Landcare until they are ready for replanting

• Volunteer to attend the replanting day in September to see the seedlings replanted in their new home along the banks of the Swan River

With over 3000 seedlings to plant, we're hoping to get 300 volunteers on the day to plant at least 10 seedlings each. It's a great opportunity for you to get a group together from your office and invest a few minutes of your lunch break towards this important cause.

Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you there!
