Makuru Rain Weaving: School Holiday Drop-In Sessions

Makuru Rain Weaving: School Holiday Drop-In Sessions

Families are invited to drop in and enjoy a free self-guided school holiday activity at Once Known.

Reflecting on the Noongar season of Makuru – a time of rain, cold weather and flowing waterways – children can create their own colourful paper weaving inspired by the rainy season and rainbows. As part of the activity, families will also learn about the six Noongar seasons and how they reflect the unique environmental changes and cycles of Noongar Country throughout the year.

Suitable for a range of ages, this hands-on activity encourages creativity, cultural learning and connection to the seasonal changes of Country.
