Philanthropy, fashion, fillies and art.

In the lead up to our 2018 Melbourne Cup Luxe event, Brookfield Place is getting set to take traditional race day Fashions on the Fields to artistic and philanthropic, creative new heights with live painting events and a wearable art showcase by acclaimed Perth artist, Ariel Katzir.

Combining all the excitement and glamour of Melbourne Cup with our love of art and live performance, we are incredibly excited to welcome Ariel Katzir to Brookfield Place 30-31 October to live paint a bespoke collection of wearable art in the lobby of Tower 1.

Since graduating with a Diploma of Fashion and Textiles from the Central Institute of Technology, local Perth artist Ariel Katzir’s work has been in high demand. Fascinated with uniform lines, geometry and the human form, Ariel combines dark line work and vibrant colours to create stunning works of art. Fresh from the launch of her Bloom In Human Summer Collection and collaboration with AKA. Workshop, Ariel will be bringing her signature style to Brookfield Place as she live paints a collection a six bespoke outfits over the course of two days.

Once complete the collection will displayed in the lobby of Tower 1 at Brookfield Place until Friday, 9 November where staff, workers and visitors to the precinct will be encouraged to bid on the couture outfits as part of a silent auction to raise funds for the Riding for the Disabled Association of WA. The collection will also be showcased at the 2018 Melbourne Cup Luxe event that's being held  in the Main Square at Brookfield Place on Cup Day (Tuesday, 6 November) where punters and guests will also have the opportunity place their bids on the day.
