Sweetheart Day

Sweetheart Day is a national event held annually on February 14th to raise funds towards fighting childhood heart disease.

All proceeds go towards HeartKids, an organisation that focuses improving the lives of Aussie kids with childhood heart disease as well as on funding vital medical research.

Eight babies are born every day in Australia with congenital heart disease, sadly 4 babies die each week. More children die from childhood heart diseases than any other childhood disease including cancer. There is no known cure. HeartKids receives little to almost no government funding and relies very heavily on the generosity of people like you to continue the fight against childhood heart disease.

Every dollar counts and your fundraising support will go a long way towards supporting children with childhood heart disease.

BHP are kindly supporting HeartKids with a stall and sausage sizzle. Please see details below:

Tuesday – February 14th – A stall will be located in Brookfield Place forecourt selling merchandise to raise funds for HeartKids.

The stall will be manned by employees from BHP BIO Engineering between 8:00am – 4:00pm.

Please drop by and help make a difference to the lives of our heart kids!
